A celebration of local fleece and fiber products along with other craft artisans. The Festival will also feature classes (including free), and a Spin In. There will be many vendor booths featuring fiber products (fleece, roving, yarn, blankets, etc.) from regional ranch families. There will also be a select number of local crafts for sale. We are planning to have a coffee truck and possibly food trucks as well. The event location is very scenic so come and enjoy the beautiful view, the wonderful selection of products, and learn something, too!

A Spin-In is a gathering of textile artists who bring their spinning wheels, drop spindles, and similar textile tools to create yarn as a fun, social activity. A bit like a quilting bee except with fiber instead of fabric, and the participants are working on individual projects. There are often people in the “circle” working on knitting, weaving, or crocheting projects instead of spinning. Anyone is welcome to bring their “stuff” and join the crowd. Saturday’s Spin-In takes place on Worldwide Spin In Public Day so that’s extra special! We have a large area on concrete and grass set aside for spinning and textile arts for both Saturday and Sunday.

Yes! There are classes you can attend to learn more about fiber arts. They are listed on our Workshops page. This page will be updated when 2026 classes are announced.

The Spokane Fleece and Fiber Festival is FREE to attend! Enjoy the scenery as you stroll around and see all the amazing fiber and craftwork. Watch or participate in our Spin-in! Observe an informative free class or learn a new skill from a talented instructor.

The Spokane Fleece and Fiber Festival is held outdoors in a ranch yard. Expect uneven surfaces. Surfaces are mostly grass and gravel, with some concrete. Classroom areas are on concrete. There are a limited number of handicapped accessible parking spaces available on a first-come basis. Bathroom facilities are porta-potties. There will be some bench seating available for resting.

No. Pets are not allowed at the Festival for the safety of the public, our livestock, and your pet. This is a working ranch with Livestock Guardian Dogs on duty. We cannot ensure the safety of visiting pets, especially dogs. Working service dogs closely leashed are allowed. Emotional support or comfort dogs are not recognized as working service dogs by the Americans with Disabilities Act.
